Flagstaff Festival of Science Turns 21
In addition, the FREE 10-day Festival, Sept. 24 – Oct. 3, will include more than 65 activities for all ages. Presentations will delve into the search for Earth-like planets, the mystery of monstrously big storms and the rugged world of wild animals such as big horn sheep. Guided hikes will explore Sedona’s red rock past, astronaut training grounds and centuries-old archaeological sites. The Arboretum at Flagstaff will be celebrating the beauty of fall, local observatories will be throwing star parties and the Museum of Northern Arizona will be showcasing a living roof. Also, Festival favorites such as Science in the Park, NAU’s Mountain Campus Science and Engineering Day and Flagstaff Medical Center’s Fantastic Voyage will be returning in this 2010 season in science.
