2014 Science Festival Alliance Annual Report

Last year North America witnessed an unprecedented level of science festival activity. New festivals launched across the US, with 11 celebrating for the first time. Meanwhile, established festivals pushed their celebrations to even greater heights. The collective reach of 41 Science Festival Alliance (SFA) members is highlighted with some staggering numbers in the SFA’s newly released 2014 Annual Report. More than 3,700 organizations worked together to pull off these festivals, which reached more than 1.7 Million people in 2014. Many of the festivals featured scores, or even hundreds, of events in their schedules. How many hundreds of those events drew more than 1,000 attendees?
