Science Events Spotlights

Science events take place at the energetic, messy, meaningful–and sometimes hilarious–live interface between real people and science.

So it should come as no surprise that most science event organizers have a story or two to tell. We’ve collected hours of audio from recorded conversations with event organizers, and are now distilling them into brief, edited clips for you.

These are Science Event Spotlights: hear first-hand, heartfelt stories about what it was like…to be there on that banner day…to watch as carefully laid plans unravel…or to finally learn that lesson that’s been a guiding principle ever since…

Science Event Spotlights is supported by Science Sandbox, a Simons Foundation initiative dedicated to engaging everyone with the process of science.

Stay tuned for new Spotlights by following @sciencefests.
