IPSEC is a gathering of peers. Sessions and events throughout the two days of meetings will include many opportunities for participants to share their experience with each other, including time for formal conference sessions, unconference-style sessions, and structured networking.

Call for Proposals

There are a limited number of one-hour time slots for conference sessions addressing the overall topic of public science events, as well as the two main strands: science festivals and science cafes. Please complete the following to propose a session to be included in the IPSEC program.

Attend the AAAS Annual Meeting

IPSEC attendees are eligible to receive a discounted registration of $235 (compared to the $399 regular rate) for the 2011 AAAS Annual Meeting . You will receive a group code for this discounted registration that must be used before January 10, 2011.

Lodging

The conference will be held in and around the Walter E. Washington Convention Center at 801 Mount Vernon Place NW, Washington DC. Register for the 2011 AAAS Annual Meeting to make use of their discounted hotel rates .

There is limited funding for lodging assistance for science café organizers.

Thanks to funding from the National Science Foundation there is no registration fee required to attend IPSEC. Submission of this completed registration form indicates your sincere intent to attend. Space is limited, and attendees are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
